A 10-minute hop from Eumundi Markets and a 30-minute drive from the beachside haven of Noosa on Australia’s Sunshine Coast lies The Barn at Eerwah Vale — a family-run Airbnb with heritage roots and unique flair.

From the outdoor bathtub and the “loo with a view,” to to open kitchen and canopied beds set in former dairy bays, this 110-year old Airbnb was one of the most memorable stays of my life.

We were greeted with a handwritten note from Sarah, the owner, and a fridge full of goodies like local yogurt and fresh baked goods.

After cooking up and eating dinner on a blanket under the stars, we found ourselves drawn around the rustic stone fire pit. The following morning, we awoke to a symphony of tropical birds and insects, and the resident hen peacock scratching at the tin roof.

A morning coffee and a brekkie of fresh-picked veggies and herbs from the garden can only be rivaled by the night’s campfire dinner under the stars, and a visit from Dulsi - the farm dog.

But no matter how you choose to spend your time, I promise you’ll never forget a stay at The Barn.
